A wedding is rarely one outfit. It's the mehndi, the sangeet, the haldi, the ceremony itself, and the reception — each with its own mood, its own palette, and its own photographs to live in afterwards.
Most bridal is commissioned rather than listed. Every piece is chosen or made for the person wearing it, so the work starts with a conversation rather than a catalogue — what the events are, when they fall, what the rest of the family is wearing, and what you actually feel like yourself in. Now and then finished pieces are here and ready to take as they are; those are below.
Sona sources directly from designers in India and can work to a specific colour, silhouette or heirloom you'd like echoed. That includes the bride, and just as often the mother of the bride, sisters, and the wider bridal party, so a whole group reads together across several days.
Lead times matter more than anything else here. Commissioned bridal work is best begun several months before the first event, so if you have dates, bring them to the first conversation and we'll tell you honestly what's achievable.

A Boutique Built on Sona's Eye
Sona Amin opened Anokhi Ada in 2006 with one goal: give Atlanta a place to find Indian attire that actually fits how someone wants to look, not just what's in stock. She still hand-picks every fabric herself and works directly with designers across India to bring in pieces you won't find anywhere else in the city.
No two clients leave with the same look. The boutique carries everything from richly worked saris to detailed embroidered suits to full bridal ensembles, and Sona works one-on-one with each customer to match the piece to the person. Bridal and trousseau shopping is where the boutique really specializes — traditional craft, styled for how people actually dress today.

Do I need an appointment to buy something?
No — every piece in the Lookbook can be added straight to your bag and purchased online, no appointment required. Appointments are for private, one-on-one styling — bridal looks, custom pieces, or help putting a full outfit together.
How does booking an appointment work?
Fill out the form below or click "Book a Private Styling" — we typically reply within 24 hours to find a time that works. Anokhi Ada is an appointment-only studio in Atlanta, so the exact address is shared once your visit is booked.
What's your return policy?
Every piece we carry is one-of-a-kind — once it's gone, it's gone. Because of that, all sales are final and pieces ship as-is, with no alterations included. Full details on our Shipping & Returns page.
How long does shipping take?
We ship within the United States only. Shipping & handling is $9.99 per order within Georgia and $14.99 elsewhere in the US. Bridal pieces ship at a flat $40.00 anywhere in the US, and an order containing one pays that fee alone, not both. Orders ship within 1–3 business days of purchase, plus 3–5 business days in transit — so most orders arrive in 4–8 business days. Rush delivery is available at checkout for an extra $15.00. It covers both stages — dispatch the next business day and an expedited courier service, typically 1–2 business days in transit — so your order arrives in roughly 2–3 business days rather than up to 8. I need it for a specific date — will it arrive in time?
Ask us before you order. Allowing for both stages, a standard order takes 4–8 business days to reach you — about a week and a half at the outside, so if you have an event coming up, tell us the date and we’ll say honestly whether we can make it. Rush delivery at checkout adds $15.00 and speeds up both stages: we dispatch the next business day instead of within 1–3, and your order travels by an expedited courier service, typically 1–2 business days instead of 3–5. That brings the whole journey down to roughly 2–3 business days. Since all sales are final, we’d much rather answer this first than have a piece arrive too late. Send us the date and we’ll come straight back to you.
